The River Hall Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on April 21, 2005 by the Florida Land and Water Adjudicatory Commission, under Rule Chapter Rule 42YY-1 of the Florida Administrative Code, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The River Hall CDD encompasses an area of approximately 1,598 acres and is wholly within the boundaries of Lee County, Florida. The District is located to the east of Interstate 75 and to the south of State Road 80 in the City of Alva within Lee County, Florida.
Infrastructure includes earthwork, roadway improvements, storm water management facilities included those associates with such roadway improvements, water and waste water facilities, landscaping and sidewalk improvements, off-site improvements.
A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community's facilities.
